This magnificent colour is a tribute to the famous Hollyhock Roses of Ré Island on the french west coast. It features a soft gradation of pinks, from the most intense to the palest, followed by a speckled area of multiple colours for a surprisingly harmonious contrast. At times slightly mauve, at other times apricot, you'll discover bursts of yellow, purple, violet, ochre, garnet and, of course, a cheerful palette of greens. The result is a work that is both sweet and spicy, just like the Hollyhock Roses themselves.
Each of our skeins is unique, although reproducible: the recipes are carefully recorded. However, there will always be differences from one bath to another. If you order several skeins of the same colour, we recommend that you alternate them as you work.
Even though most of our woollen yarns have undergone a SuperWash treatment, we recommend that you hand wash your work cold. It's perfectly normal for some colours to bleed slightly the first time, so leave to dry flat.
