The inspiration for this colour came from my love of the azulejos that adorn magnificent old palaces in Portugal. I haven't added anything to their skilful gradation of blues, with a patina of grey as if worn by time on earthenware tiles: indigo, sapphire, ultramarine, turquoise and sky blue. It's a false pastel colour, both piquant and lively, reminiscent of the freshness of the sea at Cascaïs.
Each of our skeins is unique, although reproducible: the recipes are carefully recorded. However, there will always be differences from one bath to another. If you order several skeins of the same colour, we recommend that you alternate them as you work.
Even though most of our woollen yarns have undergone a SuperWash treatment, we recommend that you hand wash your work cold. It's perfectly normal for some colours to bleed slightly the first time, so leave to dry flat.
